Reception Admissions

How to Apply

We are part of the local authority admissions process. To apply for a Reception place or a place in another year group, please follow these simple steps:

Step 1
Click this link to the Calderdale Council website and start your application online.

Step 2
Create an account if required. Keep your login details safe as you may need them to check results later.

Step 3
Select up to five schools in order of preference. We recommend using all five options to increase the chance of securing a place.

Step 4
On National Offer Day, you will be informed whether your child has been offered a place at one of your preferred schools.

Step 5
Follow the instructions from the council to accept the offer and complete any follow‑up steps needed before your child starts with us.

In‑Year Admissions

If you are moving into the area or your child needs to join us during the school year, please contact the school office. We will advise you on the in‑year application process and help you with any forms or local authority procedures.

Appeals

If a place is not offered at our school, you have the right to appeal. You will receive information about the appeal process at the time offers are made. Appeals should set out your reasons for requesting a place and will be heard by an independent panel.

We welcome families to come and see our school in action. Tours are available throughout the year, please contact the school office to book your visit and meet our staff and pupils.
